We developed a new portal, to enable external subcontractors and partners to access Ewals' central planning tool. This will reduce the time spent on administration and improve the quality of data exchange.
As an important supplier of logistic services all over Europe, Ewals Cargo Care works with both their own and external transporters.
Ewals used integration platform "Cordys" to model and implement their processes. But the system urgently needed some attention. Not only to improve its user experience, but to make it accessible to external parties. This external access would make administration much more transparent, enabling all parties to focus more on their core activities.
A triple objective
Together with Ewals, we opted to work with the "Liferay Portal Framework". This CMS is easily adaptable to Ewals' needs, and offers a great number of useful functionalities inside a solid framework.
We had a triple objective: set up a user-friendly portal, provide direct access to external parties and improve process implementation.
We realised this project together with A.C.A. IT, who built the portal, and Crossroad Conslting, who took care of process implementation.
Instant improvement
After a few weeks, Ewals already noticed a considerable improvement for both their internal employees and external subcontractors.
The gradual implementation of the tool will not only reduce the time spent on administration, but will also improve the quality and reliability of data exchange.
