Nascom launched an online campaign a few months ago to promote Sony’s first netbook: VAIO W Series. This online marketing campaign was presented by Nico Henderijckx (Online Marketing Manager Sony VAIO) during the Social Media Forum some weeks ago. Nico Henderijckx commented: “We’ve successfully managed to reach precisely that target audience that
we wanted to address with this campaign”

The campaign consisted of a number of viral videos that were launched online, in addition to a website. The campaign was directed at the specific target group for the VAIO W Series, aged 14 – 24 and very active on the internet on various social media sites. The website tells the story behind the fictitious Social Media Addicts Association (SMAA) and features some other playful details.
The campaign was launched in Europe, on the main social networks (Netlog, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter). We reached some very nice results: after 2 months we counted over 50.000 video views, and over 90.000 page views.

You can view the presentation on YouTube.

And do visit the website again.
